One can hope, but we seem intent on throwing away our symbiotic connection to the planet leading to catastrophic climate change and dramatic extinctions possibly including ourselves. Denial is a very powerful force and will require an equal counter force to dislodge it. I think we have progressed beyond the "folly" stage and yet we persist...
